i am beside myself
and you are inside me -
water boarding my heart
and seeping into my lungs.

exit, please, with haste
before i'm laid to waste.

a melody comes choking out of my
salt ridden throat
invoking fear in each ear
it falls deafly on.
they never remember me,
until i'm gone,
and neither will you.

chew,

on these verses, these words,
these curses -
they vex me
and i have foretold them all.

perhaps, i am a fatalist
